You are so right in noting that there is a lot of high level debate on this important subject area but very little of it is informed and takes account of the costs and implications. Hopefully the book will help fill in some of the gaps in thinking as there is very little published. It is very well informed, and draws information from plenty if diverse sources. And you also quoted other experts to give that additional variety and credibility. The choice of subject is a good one, and, appropriately, will interest travellers from many different EU countries, as well as train enthusiasts.
