Here are some recent comments by some of my clients and readers: You are obviously a very talented and experienced business journalist who can turn complex topics into well-written and compelling articles. Nadia Weekes Editor END Europe Book review of Power Markets & Economics Appreciate sight of your excellent review. You are so right in noting that there is a lot of high level debate on this important subject area but very little of it is informed and takes account of the costs and implications. Hopefully the book will help fill in some of the gaps in thinking as there is very little published. I note the newly appointed govt. advisor adds useful insight but fails to address the economics in his recent book.Regards Barrie Murray Book review of Power Markets & Economics. think it captured the key strengths of the book. I look forward to seeing it published. Ben Norman Publicist, Life Science WILEY-BLACKWELLReviews of OLYMPUS DS-30 and Olympus DM 10 Thank you very much for the positive review of the DS-30 and the DM-10! I am very happy that you find them good. Elisa.Duriavig@olympus.uk.com Brussels Eurostar I enjoyed the article and am glad you had a good trip. HEADON Gareth [Gareth.Headon@eurostar.co.uk] Are Europe’s Railways Failing The Commuter? Lots of good points in that... I have always argued that the French TGV has been developed at the expense of the regional network - try getting a train from Bordeaux to Lyon! Christian Wolmar http://www.christianwolmar.co.uk/
This was a great article, Are Europe’s Railways Failing The Commuter? Nic – you seem to have a real knack for writing this type of feature. It is very well informed, and draws information from plenty if diverse sources. And you also quoted other experts to give that additional variety and credibility. The choice of subject is a good one, and, appropriately, will interest travellers from many different EU countries, as well as train enthusiasts. Your writing style continues to be fluent, and appropriate for the Café Babel readership. I thought your fact box and other lists at the end were extremely helpful. So in all, a great read – you are able to make potentially dreary subjects very interesting! Cleland Thom http://www.ctjt.bizDear Nicholas - thanks for the excellent article. All the best.
