She is ably accompanied by her partner Denny Ilett whose guitar playing is straight from the Wes Montgomery/George Benson school. Katya's vibrant personality and song choices will ensure an atmospheric evening.

Musical Recital: Jennifer Pike

 

 

Join us for an evening with aspiring young violinist Jennifer Pike, Winner of the 2008 South Bank Show / The Times Breakthrough Award.  This award acknowledges the impact that she has made during 2007, both in own field and throughout the arts as a whole.

 

This event is organised in conjunction with the Richard Meier: Art and Architecture exhibition currently running until the 22nd 2008 at the Louise T Blouin Institute.  Jennifer will be accompanied by Daniel Tong on the unique Ibach Grand Piano designed by Richard Meier.

SCHUBERT, FRANZ: Violin Sonata in G Minor

MOZART, WOLFGANG AMADEUS: Violin Sonata in E minor K.304

BEETHOVEN, LUDWIG VAN: Violin Sonata No.7 in C minor Op. 30/2

 Drawing Workshop with Lee Campbell

 

£35 members, £40 non members

 

  Join artist and teacher Lee Campbell as she leads an afternoon workshop on drawing. She will demonstrate a variety of different drawing mediums and techniques. Emphasis is on active participation followed by reflection and group discussion. Price includes tuition and all materials plus a pencil case of goodies to take home. 

 

No previous experience or art talent necessary!

 

Activities include drawing exercises designed specifically to;

Improve visual memory, activate co-ordination skills, realise and consolidate ideas and balance left and right brain processes.

 

Lee Campbell is an accomplished artist and qualified teacher with over 20 years experience.  Lee is a qualified Life Coach and she also has a BA in Fine Art, an MA in History of Art and a certificate in Adult Education. 

 

 

 

 All events are free of charge to Institute Members. We advise booking in advance.
