In 2014 Oxford Lieder presents the UK’s first complete performance of Schubert songs in a unique festival featuring a stellar array of the world’s great singers. - RABBIT FOOT SPASM BAND
The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm band are one of Oxford’s premier bands, having built up a strong following in the last couple of years with sell out gigs and overwhelmingly positive reviews from the Oxford press. The band is renowned for its ability to make a crowd lose themselves in a chaotic haze of booze - soaked, adrenaline fuelled raucous post-punk mash up of Trad Jazz, Calypso and New Orleans R&B. The lyrics of the songs show a dark and contemporary sensibility spiced with a mordant sense of humour which is particularly in evidence in their latest single ‘King of Wine’
