Oxford First Tuesday January 2012 Meeting

"5 January 2012 Location: Lamb and Flag St. Giles. "

Last week’s Oxford First Tuesday meeting (3rdJan 2012) was full of fun and heated discussion! It was a first for many reasons. It was the first gathering of the year and the first meeting to be held outside our usual location, the King’s Arms Broad Street.

Although the King’s Arms has its charms, it has its problems, amongst them it has become increasingly difficult to hear what is being said by our members as we swap news, debate business, arrange deals and network, so it was decided as an experiment to relocate to the Lamb and Flag St. Giles.

Unfortunately, the Lamb and Flag has its issue, amongst them no food served in the evening, however it does have the advantage of good nearby parking for both cars and cycles. The meeting started later than usual at 8-30 pm, and over drinks we discussed our ambitions for the year, business plans for Oxford Journos the communications agency we are establishing and discussed our immediate projects that ranged from Dai creating film production course, Nicholas and Philip aplanning a campaign to drum up new business and Richard retelling his experiences working in Siberia on location. Though, despite the seating being uncomfortable, the Lamb and Flag does have an advantage of being a quiet pub!
