Cool it - Bjorn Lomborg

""Bjorn Lomborg argues that many of the elaborate and expensive actions now being considered to stop global warming will cost hundreds of billions of dollars, ...""

‘Cool it’, the movie examines the voracity of some of the arguments and proposed solutions, trendy eco-warriors such as Al-Gore has publicised in his movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. ‘Cool it’, is a film adaptation of the book with the same name by noted Danish climate expert and scientist Bjorn Lomborg.

The film accepts the general thesis of global warming, but questions the economic and social solutions that are put forward to solve this problem.

What becomes clear is that many of the solutions backed by eco warriors are too simplistic, surprisingly expensive and ineffective. Instead, the film proposes alternative more efficient and cost effective solutions, which will have a much greater impact on tackling global warming,

This film is well worth watching in conjunction with Al-Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ so as to provide essential data for any informed discussion of this vital problem that is so often dominated by well meaning, but ill-informed debate. In my view I found Bjorn Lomborg’s film a very enlightening and informed viewpoint, more likely to achieve the various objectives of the green movement.
